So you enabled the use of Google to automatically retrieve your location and you even entered your Google API key, but when you try to use your browser's geolocation feature, no results show up.
This is why: Most modern browsers only allow access to your location information through an encrypted connection. That means you need to install a working SSL-certificate, so your website/WordPress admin is reachable via
https instead of

Check if you can access api.foursquare.com. If not, it means their servers are down.
It could also mean that none of the methods the plugin uses to fetch the information from Swarm/Foursquare is enabled/working on your server.
Try the following: Enable
file_get_contents in your server's PHP settings, eg. by editing your
php.ini file, adding the following line:
allow_url_fopen = 1
If you don't know how to change PHP settings on your server, ask your hosting provider
